Woman injured in crash with parked truck

A WOMAN was injured after her car collided with the back of a stationary workmen’s truck in Henley.

The truck was parked in Greys Road opposite the entrance to the Gainsborough estate when the accident happened at 8.50am on Wednesday.

The windscreen of the woman’s Toyota was smashed and front of the car and rear of the truck were damaged.

Police and paramedics attended the scene and the woman was treated for a minor back injury. The truck was being used by cousins Frank and Luke Stevens, who work for FGS Driveways and Landscapes in Twyford, as they were building a driveway at the time.

Luke Stevens, 30, who was sitting in the truck when the accident happened, said: “I was just writing in the diary and then ‘bang’, it sounded like a cannon going off behind me.”
