Attacker bites ear

A MAN’S ear was bitten when he was attacked on Goring bridge.

Police said the 21-year-old victim was crossing on the side of the Swan Hotel with a friend when they were approached by a couple.

The man walked into the victim’s friend, then grabbed the victim in a headlock and bit his ear. The victim suffered swelling but did not need hospital treatment.

The woman played no part in the attack, which took place on January 11.

A 41-year-old man from Streatley has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail until February 14.
