Prison for RAF rapist

A SERVICEMAN based at RAF Benson has been jailed for nine-and-a-half years for rape.

Cpl Lee Hosking, 28, pleaded guilty to the attack in Penzance in May 2008 when he appeared at Truro Crown Court.

He was caught after police reviewed the case and found his description was similar to that of a man who had smashed a shop window in Penzance in 2003. Hospital checks showed Hosking had been treated for a gashed hand.

Hosking, who is originally from Penzance, was arrested at RAF Brize Norton as he returned from a tour of Afghanistan in December 2012.
