Appeal by former teacher convicted of sex offences

A FORMER teacher at the Oratory School in Woodcote who was convicted of carrying out a series of sex offences against pupils has appealed.

Jonathan O’Brien, 55, from Bosham, West Sussex, was found guilty of 17 counts of indecent assault and five of gross indecency at Chichester Crown Court last month.

He was due to be sentenced on Friday but the hearing was adjourned.

The offences involved boys aged 10 to 16 at The Oratory and a school in Worcestershire between 1982 and 1988.
