Cooking oil stolen

THIEVES stole waste cooking oil from two Henley pubs.

Five containers with a total of 75 litres were taken from the Catherine Wheel in Hart Street while they were awaiting collection so the oil could be recycled.

Police said CCTV footage showed a vehicle pulling up and two men entering the gated area where the oil was stored and carrying the containers to the vehicle in two or three trips.

The same men are believed to have taken five 20 litre metal containers of oil from a shed at the Three Horseshoes in Reading Road a short time later.

The thefts happened on Tuesday, March 11. Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 101.
