Cousins jailed for spate of burglaries over three months
POLICE have been praised for their work in helping to catch two serial burglars.
Cousins Paul Hutton and Damian Darani raided six houses in Henley in less than two months and stole thousands of pounds worth of possessions, including two cars.
At Oxford Crown Court on Monday, Hutton, 33, of Swiss Farm, Henley, was jailed for three years and Darani, 30, of Station Close, High Wycombe, was sentenced to 32 months’ imprisonment.
The men, both former Gillotts School pupils, had pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit burglary at an earlier hearing.
Nigel Ogbourne, prosecuting, said the break-ins had been linked by the police because they had similar attributes, including ground floor windows being forced open or smashed and the homes being targeted at times when the owners were out.
