Players’ vehicles targeted Players’ vehicles targeted

NINE cars belonging to players and management at Henley Town Football Club were broken into during a training session.

Mobile phones, an iPad, satnav device, cash, keys and a wallet were stolen from the vehicles parked in the car park by the club’s ground in Mill Lane on the evening of Tuesday, July 1.

Club secretary Tony Kingston said: “All the windows were smashed and there was the glass over the car park.

“The players were all training at the other end of the pitch so they didn’t hear anything. A lot of the players didn’t turn up for training two days later because of what happened.”

Training sessions have been moved to the Berkshire County Sports Club in Sonning.
