Antique taken

AN antique clock, family silver and a laptop were among items stolen during a burglary in Watlington.

Thieves targeted a house in Brook Street between July 10 and 11.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “The occupant was away on these dates and when returning to the property, found that entry had been forced through the rear window of the house.

“The antique clock is very rare and of high value. It is a drop dial wall clock which is made of mahogany wood. The clock has a 12 inch painted dish dial with subsidiary seconds on it.”

Although police said there was no exact value for the stolen clock, similar ones were worth around £1,750. Call the police non-emergency number, 101, with information.
