Cheaper police

THAMES Valley Police has made savings of £58.9 million over the last four years.

But the force still needs to make cuts of £38 million over the next three years, says a report by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary.

Chief Constable Sara Thornton said: “This will be really tough but we will do everything we can to ensure that the service to the public is protected.”
