POLICE are to launch an anti-burglary scheme in Whitchurch.
It follows a spate of break-ins, especially from garages and garden sheds.
Residents will be invited to buy Smartwater, an invisible substance that helps officers identify stolen goods.
The liquid contains a code that is unique to each household and is used to permanently mark valuables.
Police community support offier Mark Bell will visit homes offering the kit and warning stickers at a subsidised price of £10.
