Driver stops bike thieves boarding train

TWO men stole a bicycle at Henley station and then tried to board a train with it.

Police said the pair were seen cutting the padlock off the bike outside the station at about 5.35pm on Saturday.

The train driver did not let them on the train, so they made off with the stolen bike.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The offenders were both white, in their mid-twenties, of medium build with dark hair. One had facial hair and was wearing a leather jacket. The stolen bike was a Trek 7.4 FX D 14.

Anyone with information should call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number, 101.
