A woman from Goring told the family of a motorcyclist killed in a crash she was "devastated" for their loss as she was cleared of blame for his death.

Anne Green, 38, of Manor Road, wept in the dock after being acquitted of causing death by careless driving at Oxford Crown Court today.

The court heard how her Peugot 206 had "spun out of control" and crashed into John Maher's Honda machine on the A4074 near Benson on February 19 last year, throwing him 40 yards from his vehicle.

The 52-year-old, from the Reading area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
