THE main road through Whitchurch was closed for two hours after a car flipped on to its roof.
Police closed High Street for two hours after the crash, which happened just north of the village on the B471 just before 2pm on Friday.
The male driver of the Mazda, which had an L-plate, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading but his injuries were not thought to have been serious.
Traffic was diverted along Hardwick Road and on to Goring Heath via Path Hill. Tolls on Whitchurch Bridge were suspended and the barriers lifted to help keep traffic flowing. The car was towed away.
