Shoplifter fined

A MAN who stole a £3 block of cheese from Sainsbury’s in Duke Street, Henley, has been fined.

A MAN who stole a £3 block of cheese from Sainsbury’s in Duke Street, Henley, has been fined.

David Sedgewick, 47, of Summerwood Road, Isleworth, was caught on CCTV on January 7 and was arrested in the Argyll pub in Market Place the same day.

He pleaded guilty to theft at Oxford Magistrates’ Court and was fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20.

A FILM crew interviewed staff at fabric warehouse Lady Sew and Sew this week for a documentary to be shown at a confererence in America for fabric and yarn manufacturer Coats/Rowan. Vanessa Blogg and Judy Edwards talked about key business challenges facing them over the next six to 12 months.

Mrs Edwards, 46, said: “We were deilghted to have the opportunity to communicate our customers’ needs to the very top level of one of our major suppliers.”
