Thieves thwarted

A MOTORCYCLE was stolen from a garage in Penny Royal, Goring Heath.

A MOTORCYCLE was stolen from a garage in Penny Royal, Goring Heath.

The thieves removed the bolt casing to keep the padlock intact and then unscrewed hinges to remove the right-hand door.

They took a Yamaha WR450F but ignored other motorcycles in the garage. When the thieves were challenged by a witness, they ran off towards Reading with the machine.

Police arrived shortly afterwards and found the motorcycle dumped in a nearby field. The incident happened on April 21.

lThe bonnet and headlights were stolen from a black Ford Fiesta parked in Croft Way, Woodcote, during the night of April 30.
