Drink driver banned after car accident

A WOMAN has been banned from driving for 17 months after admitting drink-driving.

A WOMAN has been banned from driving for 17 months after admitting drink-driving.

Mary McRay, 66, overturned her Renault Clio after clipping a parked car in The Terrace, Stoke Row, at 9.30am on May 21.

The road was closed for several hours following the crash, which was attended by police, fire crews and paramedics. The other car, a silver Peugeot 206 belonging to Emily Eades, 21, of The Terrace, was dented on its rear offside.

McRay, from Checkendon, who suffered minor cuts and bruises, was also fined £250 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £25 and £85 costs when she appeared at Oxford Magistrates? Court on Friday.
