Thief eats evidence of his crime

A MAN stole a sandwich and crisps and abused staff at a garage in Henley.

A MAN stole a sandwich and crisps and abused staff at a garage in Henley.

He walked into the Esso service station in Reading Road and asked for a packet of cigarettes before taking a sandwich from a refrigerator.

He then went to the counter and took 10 minutes searching for means of payment during which time he ate the sandwich.

He then verbally abused staff and left before coming back inside to steal a packet of crisps and again abused the staff.

Police have released CCTV images of the thief in the hope someone will be able to identify him to them.

He is described as being in his mid-twenties, about 6ft and chubby with short blonde hair swept to the side. He was wearing black trousers and a white short-sleeved shirt which appeared to have a coffee stain on the front.
