A MAN has been ordered to wear an electronic tag after admitting stealing petrol from a Henley garage.

A MAN has been ordered to wear an electronic tag after admitting stealing petrol from a Henley garage.

Mark Paterson, 22, of Lawson Road, Henley, pretended to fill up his car at the Esso garage in Reading Road on April 28 before driving off without paying.

Oxford magistrates heard he was seen to select the “pay at pump” option but then only pretended to pay.

Paterson was also ordered to pay compensation totalling £184.25p and costs of £85.
