THIS is the moment an intruder was caught on CCTV firing a rock into the face of a dog in Goring.

The man is seen trying to unlock the cage, in the Elvendon Priory estate, before picking up a rock and using a catapult to aim at the pet as it barked at him.

Thames Valley Police said it was investigating the attack, which happened on Tuesday (September 17) at about noon.

Estate manager Chris Noys disturbed four or five men after he believed they were attempting to break into the kennels.

The individuals then sped off in a black Peugot Panther van with ladders on the roof and on the passenger side.

Anyone with information should contact the police on the non-emergency number 101.
