Conmen steal woman’s bag

A WOMAN had her handbag stolen after being distracted outside Tesco in Henley.

A WOMAN had her handbag stolen after being distracted outside Tesco in Henley.

Police said a man approached her in the car park of the Reading Road store and asked for directions to the station in very bad English. He then asked questions about train times and fare prices.

The victim was distracted for at least three minutes during which time an accomplice opened the passenger door of her car and stole her bag.

Her debit card was used folowing the incident on September 26.

The man who spoke is described as having dark skin and an eastern European accent. Call police on 101.
