A MAN took off his top before running away from Tesco in Henley after he was approached on suspicion of shoplifting.

Staff became suspicious when he put a large amount of alcohol into his trolley. A CCTV camera then caught him grabbing two biodegradable shopping bags before walking out of the store, leaving the trolley behind.

When he was approached by a security guard who asked what was in the bags, the man took off his jumper and handed it and the bags over before running off.

The man is described by police as white, aged 20 and 25, slim, about 5ft 10in with short, light-brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans and the burgundy jumper with a black jumper underneath.
