A POSTMAN who was charged with killing a motorcylist in a crash in Henley will face no further action.

Michael Jiggens, 41, of Shiplake, was killed after his Kawasaki Z1000 collided with a Royal Mail van in Wargrave Road on May 9. He had been travelling to Winnersh to return the motorcycle, which he had bought the previous week, because he was not happy with it.

Dominic Bool, 25, of Hazel Drive, Woodley, had been due to appear at Reading Crown Court last week accused of causing death by careless driving but the Crown Prosecution Service said the charge against him had been dropped after “new evidence” came to light.

Mr Jiggens owned Resin Roof Systems and Advanced Blast Cleaning, based in Market Place, Henley.
