A CYCLIST was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Lewknor.

A CYCLIST was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Lewknor.

The 34-year-old woman was thrown from her bicycle after being hit by an unknown vehicle on the B4009 at about 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 13.

She suffered two fractured vertebrae and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Pc Mark Gulliford said: “Drivers did stop to help but only one person left his details. I would like to speak to the people who came to the aid of the cyclist.”
