Riders warned

TWENTY-SIX cyclists were issued with warnings after being stopped by police for riding along the pavement in Caversham.

TWENTY-SIX cyclists were issued with warnings after being stopped by police for riding along the pavement in Caversham.

The operation took place in Church Road, St Peter’s Hill and Caversham Bridge on two days last week. Cycling on the pavement is prohibited under the Highways Act and carries a £30 fixed penalty.
