Cabbie robbed

A TAXI driver was attacked and robbed by a fare in Caversham.

A TAXI driver was attacked and robbed by a fare in Caversham.

He had got out of his vehicle to look for change when his male passenger pushed him to the ground and repeatedly hit him in the face.

The offender took the money and ran off when a woman got out of her car and shouted.

The incident took place in Gosbrook Road between 8pm and 8.30pm on Friday.

The victim was treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading for bruising and facial injuries.
