FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a stable block off Blakes Road, Wargrave, at about 2.30pm on Tuesday.

They spent about two hours tackling the fire, which sent plumes of grey smoke into the air so that it was visible as far away as Henley.

Two horses were rescued but the stables and a vehicle were destroyed. It?s thought the fire started when a bonfire got out of control.
