999 phone pest jailed

A MAN has been jailed for 20 weeks for making nuisance calls to police.

A MAN has been jailed for 20 weeks for making nuisance calls to police.

Michael James Bourke, of Reading Road, Woodcote, called the Thames Valley force control room on 999 and 101 about nine times during the night of May 1.

Oxford Magistrates’ Court heard this was in breach of an antisocial behaviour order =not to make such calls which was issued in October followed about 18 nuisance calls to the emergency services.
