ABOUT £35 was stolen from an honesty box in Nuffield.

The theft happened at Haydyn Duffy?s home in Nuffield Hill at about 10.35pm on April 24.

Mr Duffy sells eggs produced by his eight chickens and trusts people to leave the money in the box.

Two men and a woman wearing builders? dust masks were caught on CCTV taking the money. The box was targeted again on May 6 but was box empty.

Mr Duffy said: ?There?s a couple down the road who have got 60-odd chickens and they kept getting done. In the same week some guys with an angle grinder cut their box open. If we don?t stop this petty stuff, it builds up.?

Police said the thieves had two vehicles, one of which was captured on CCTV on May 7. This was a silver van with two rails on the roof and the driver had a tattoo on his right forearm. The other vehicle is a dark hatchback.
