THREE members of Henley Young Farmers? Club were cut from the wreckage of a car in a simulation exercise.
The exercise was organised by firefighters to illustrate the risks of being distracted while driving.
A fire crew cut the boot door off the Ford Fiesta using power tools and then pulled the ?passengers? free as other firefighters explained the procedure to onlookers.
The event at Wallingford station was part of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service?s 365alive safety initiative.
Road safety manager Mick Clarke said: ?Drivers who are distracted significantly increase their risk of a devastating crash.
?Using a mobile phone or technologies like satnavs or even eating can distract you ? even if it?s only for a few seconds, that?s all it takes.?
