GLASS fell 20ft on to a Henley street after an open window was slammed shut by a gust of wind.
Luckily, no one was walking by when the incident happened in Reading Road at lunchtime on Monday. Police closed a section of pavement outside the Bohun Gallery for about 90 minutes while the glass from the first floor window was cleaned up and the window secured. They also controlled the traffic to help pedestrians who could not use the pavement.
Gallery manager Katie Newman said: ?It was just an old window broken by a gust of wind, nothing more exciting than that. The police alerted us to it.?
Henley Glass sent a member of staff to tidy up and secure the window free of charge.
