A LORRY driver had a long wait after breaking down in Henley town centre.
Nick Hathaway, a driver for Kingsmill, had just made his delivery to the Sainsbury's store in Bell Street at about 6.45am on Sunday when he returned to find that the gears on the HGV were locked and it couldn't be moved.
"It's a long night, I started at midnight. I would have finished about 10am," he said.
Psco Tarran Colby, from Henley police station, was on the scene and believed the road at the junction of Hart Street and the Waitrose exit may have to be closed.
In the end the road was not closed and the lorry was able to be towed away by a recovery vehicle at about 2pm.
