Conmen jailed after £30,000 scam

THREE men have been jailed after defrauding 13 elderly and vulnerable people out of more than £30,000

THREE men have been jailed after defrauding 13 elderly and vulnerable people out of more than £30,000.

The offences took place in towns and villages, including Sonning Common and Caversham and other parts of Oxfordshire, Berkshire Hampshire and Wiltshire, between September 2013 and January this year.

Billy Doe, 20, Mickey Smith, 30, both from Slough, and Jesse James, 31, from Datchet, committed the offences between September 2013 and January this year.

Winchester Crown Court heard the men encouraged their victims to pay for roofing work which was not required.

All three admitted conspuiracy to commit fraud.
