A MOTORCYCLIST suffered "multiple life-threatening injuries" following a collision with a car just outside Henley.
The accident happened on the northbound A4130 dual carriageway at the turn-off to Bix shortly before 2pm this afternoon. (Monday, October 19)
Two ambulances were sent to the scene along with a rapid response car and the Thames Valley air ambulance.
Paramedics treated one patient who had minor injuries and the motorcyclist, who was more seriously hurt.
A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said he was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with life-threatening head, chest and leg injuries.
At least four police cars also attended. Officers shut the northbound carriageway towards Bix and turned traffic around at the turn-off to Lower Assendon.
A full report will appear in this week's Henley Standard.
