A CYCLIST is fighting for his life after he was involved in a collision with a car in Caversham

A CYCLIST is fighting for his life after he was involved in a collision with a car in Caversham.

The man, who is in his fifties, suffered a serious head injury in the incident, which happened at the Napier Road roundabout at about 8.30am on Friday and involved a Proton car which was travelling from Vastern Road.

He was flown by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he remains seriously ill.

The driver stopped at the scene and police closed roads in the area as they investigated what happened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call 101, quoting URN 228 20/11.
