Man convicted of offences against children

A MAN from Sonning has been convicted of eight sexual offences against children.

A MAN from Sonning has been convicted of eight sexual offences against children.

Nicholas Faithfull, 20 of Glebe Gardens, was found guilty at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday of eight counts of engaging in sexual activity with five girls aged 13 to 15.

He had pleaded guilty to one count of inciting sexual activity with a child.

The offences took place in Wokingham between January 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015 in Wokingham. Faithfull was first arrested on January 15 last year and was charged with the offences on June 6.

Det Chief Insp Stuart Bosley, who led the police investigation said: “Faithfull took advantage of young girls, grooming them through social media before arranging to meet them and commit these crimes. I hope that this outcome will give the victims some comfort and enable them to rebuild their lives and move forward.”

Faithfull will be sentenced at on April 22 following pre-sentence reports.
