Two injured in separate Bell Street falls

TWO people were treated by paramedics within minutes of each other in Bell Street, Henley, on Tuesday

TWO people were treated by paramedics within minutes of each other in Bell Street, Henley, on Tuesday.

An ambulance was called at about 9.20am after a 19-year-old woman fainted outside Crew Clothing and suffered a minor head injury.

Witness Adrian Cotterill said: “A mother from Rupert House School, passers-by and shopkeepers rushed to her aid, kept her warm and made her comfortable with some items of clothing from the store as she lay still on the ground until the ambulance arrived and she could be assessed by medical personnel.”

Less than 15 minutes later the same paramedics helped a middle-aged man who had fallen outside Boots and suffered a head injury.

Mr Cotterill added: “He too was helped by shopkeepers and passers-by and was also made comfortable with a pillow.

“It’s good to see that we have so many caring people in the community who stopped and offered their assistance.”
