Blue bags on the way

BLUE waste bags will be delivered to homes in Wargrave and Charvil this month.

Each household will be given 80 bags by Wokingham Borough Council’s contractor Veolia. This is the allocation until March 31, 2018.

Additional bags will be given to larger households which have registered with the council.

Angus Ross, executive member for environment, said: “Although this allocation equates to one-and-a-half bags a week, we ask residents to try to reduce their household waste where possible and recycle as much as they can by using the kerbside recycling scheme, household recycling centres and recycling banks available across the borough.”
