Wilks to represent GB

A HENLEY rider has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Junior European Championships.

Seventeen-year-old Anna Wilks has been selected as a member of the this year’s Racesafe junior squad at the Eventing Championships, at Bishop Burton College, Yorkshire, from August 14 to 17.

For Wilks it is a second championship appearance. She sealed her selection campaign with a win in the final trial at Aston-le-Walls, and she credits their improvement over the last 12 months to working for eventing legend Pippa Funnell.

Wilks said: “‘Johnny’ is a different horse this year, he’s really proved himself and done everything that I have asked of him.”
