Woollen spaceships

KNITTING fans in Wargrave are being encouraged to make outer space-themed creations for next year’s village festival.

In recent years locals have “yarn bombed” the village during the festival by attaching pieces of knitwear to benches, trees and lampposts.

The June festival will have a theme of “Out of this world”.

Knitting sessions are held at the library in Church Street on the third Wednesday of every month from 2pm to 4pm. Needles, wool and patterns are supplied.
