War days

MAPLEDURHAM House and watermill is to host a Second World War re-enacment on the weekend of April 19 and 20.

Visitors can see demonstrations with authentic costumes and vehicles and a mock battle each day. There will be jive demonstrations with Forties-style music as well as children’s entertainment.

Organiser Lola Andrews said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to transform Mapledurham back to the Second World War period.”
