Prisoners’ art on sale at show with money going to hospice
PRISONERS at HMP Huntercombe will have their work included in this year’s Nettlebed arts and crafts show.
Local artists will also have a chance to display their talent at the show held tomorrow (Saturday) and on Sunday at Nettlebed School.
It will feature work ranging from budding artists starting out in the field to well-established craftsmen and women, and will include traditional pieces such as oils, acrylics and watercolours, as well as sculpture, pottery and jewellery. Work is available to buy.
The art show is organised by a committee of volunteers, and all profits from it are donated to local charities and organisations.
All proceeds from the sale of the Huntercombe work will be donated to the Sue Ryder hospice in Nettlebed.
