Nuffield 100 years exhibition

AN exhibition is being held at Nuffield Place to mark both 100 years since the house was built and the outbreak of the First World War.

The display will run until September 14.

Visitors will learn about the story of the building leading up to the outbreak of the First World War and discover how its inhabitants fared during the conflict.

Nuffield Place was the home of Lord Nuffield from 1933 until his death in 1963. He bought the house and renamed it after the village having just been raised to the peerage.

The exhibition will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
