Let us start with the pelvis, the foundation of the spine. By learning to keep the pelvis in neutral we create neutral alignment throughout the rest of the spine, also creating maximum space between each vertebral bone.
Furthermore the neutral spine allows joints and muscles to work at their optimum, helping correct any imbalances. Good posture makes you feel better, walk and breathe better. It helps to protect the joints and prevents back and joint ache.
Pilates ABC Henley offers postural help and assessment through gentle balanced exercises classes to assist clients to improve and maintain good alignment and movement techniques.
Owner Alyth Yealland uses a hands-on approach to help clients learn and adapts exercises to suit each client’s needs, offering alternatives where appropriate.
Classes are kept small to ensure clients get individual attention. Where appropriate, Alyth works hand in hand with local medical practitioners to tailor programmes to suit a client’s needs.
