PILATES has long been recognised as an effective low-impact form of exercise for building strength, lean muscle tone and improving flexibility.

Through use of a specialised piece of equipment called the Reformer, Carine Moffett of Nubodi Pilates offers a powerful Pilates workout that can be specifically tailored to the goals and ability level of the client.

Carine is located at the renowned and popular Studio One just outside of Nettlebed. As a certified Stott Pilates instructor, she was initially drawn to the Reformer for its versatility and scope.

She said: “Originally developed to offer movement to ballet dancers and rehab to the injured, today we use it to alter the intensity and challenge of the workout to strengthen the whole body. It can also be adapted for a cardiovascular workout.”

With a maximum of six students per class, within a bespoke Reformer Studio providing all the necessary equipment, she provides individual attention throughout the session. For more information, call Carine Moffett on 07957 982502 or visit the website at www.studioone.uk.com

Studio One also offer Pilates matwork, Pilates for osteoporosis, barre fitness, ballet barre and yoga in their main studio and osteopathy in their treatment room. Call (01491) 641772 for details.
