Get into the swing of it this Summer

THERE are lots of different ways that children can find out how much fun golf can be at Henley Golf Club.

The Mark Howell Golf Academy runs weekend courses through the year and holiday courses for children of all ages.

Our PGA qualified coaches visit local schools to offer free taster sessions in the summer term and we are hoping to work with the town council to extend that progamme in 2017. The club runs a scholarship scheme with 28 coaching places from complete beginners at age six up to experienced young golfers who can get two years’ free membership.

Selection for this takes place in March each year so watch out for adverts in the Henley Standard.

Our junior section is the largest in the area and has a full programme of competitions through the summer season including Thames Valley League matches against other clubs. Cadet membership is open from age eight and full Junior membership from age 11 to 17.

And it’s not just for children. For adults wanting to try golf they should enquire about our academy programme which can take you from beginner to full member.
