Warmers at the inn

The Crooked Billet pub is offering a couple of winter warmers

The Crooked Billet pub is offering a couple of winter warmers. The Stoke Row inn's £12 two-course lunch offer ends today, before going up to £16.95 from Monday to Friday.

On Tuesday, Rag Mama Rag will be performing Twenties and Thirties blues. One of Europeâ??s finest bluesy, boogie country acts, Ashley Dow and Deborahâ??s wide repertoire encompasses Mississippi Blues, East Coast Ragtime and early white country tunes. Their instruments include acoustic guitars, resophonics, ukulele, harmonica and washboard. A full regular menu will be offered plus £8 cover charge.

Fans of the pub's food can take tuition from owner/chef Paul Clerehugh at a cookery demonstration. All the early dates in March have sold out, so two new ones have been added for March 10 and 11. Join Paul as he prepares seafood, meat poultry and desserts then join him for a three-course lunch. The day runs from 10.30am to 3pm and includes canapés, wine tasting, Champagne, a goodie bag and more. The cost is £85.
