SIX people took part in a food swap event in Wargrave.

Henley Apples for Eggs was held at the Local Larder at Val Wyatt Marine in Willow Lane on Sunday.

The participants brought goods including homemade bread, brownies, lettuce and handcrafted animals made out of beads.

They then swapped goods among themselves without any money changing hands. Everything had to be worth the same as a box of six eggs.

Organiser Suri Poulos said: “Everyone had a really nice time. We had Hungarian foods, items from people‘s gardens and fresh vegetables.“

The next food swap will be held at the marina on Saturday, September 26 from 10.30am to 11.30am.
