Donegan grabs hat-trick in eight-goal rout of Burghfield

EMMER GREEN sealed all three Senior Division points with an emphatic win at the Recreation Ground against 10-men BURGHFIELD.

Luke Donegan opened the scoring after a good through ball from brother Daniel to fire home into the bottom right hand corner.

John Donegan made it 2-0 with a header from a long Richie Froude throw in. Chris Read made it 3-0 getting on the end of a through ball after a mazy run from John Donegan which put the home side in a comfortable position at half time. Early in the second half Emmer Green went 4-0 up when Luke Donegan chipped the ball over the centre backs for Daniel Donegan to chest down and fire home into the bottom right hand corner of the goal.

Luke Donegan made it 5-0 with a 20 yard strike before Daniel Donegan made it 6-0 from the spot after being tripped in the area. Chris Read grabbed his brace and made it 7-0, volleying home a Daniel Donegan free-kick. Luke Donegan got his hat-trick and Emmer Green’s eighth after being put through by Ciaran Crean and having only the keeper to beat.

At the foot of the table basement side KIDMORE END/THE MOD picked up their first win of the season as they ran out 5-4 winners at SOUTHCOTE.

In Division 1 SC UNITED slipped to the foot of the table after going down 9-2 away to league leaders LE GALAXY.

HENLEY TOWN dominated their Division 3 East clash at 116 EXILES RESERVES as they ran out 5-0 winners in a match that saw Hugh Barklem bag a hat-trick.

The visitors took the lead when an Arran Finch corner was flicked on at the front post by Pete Shora for Barklem to score.

Soon after Barklem doubled his side’s lead when he netted following a Thomas Chaplin corner that was flicked on by Jack Beales.

Henley made it 3-0 early in the second half when a through ball from George Chaplin released Aaron Brittain who beat his man before firing home a left footed cross into the roof of the net.

The visitors made it 4-0 when a Sam Earls cross was headed clear by a home defender and Beales met it 30 yards out where he he lifted the ball with his first touch and thundered a volley into the top left hand corner.

Barklem wrapped up the rout when a Kieran Butler throw in was flicked on by Tom Essam. Barklem beat the defender for strength then chipped in over the keeper to complete his hat-trick.
