HENLEY TOWN reached the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Sam Waters Sunday Cup for only the second time when they won 4-1 away to Chinnor Sports.
After their long lay-off, Henley never found their best form and were held to a goalless first half.
In the second half their young forward line showed too much speed for the ponderous home defence to cope with.
Sam Bell junior was brought down in the area for Craig Sinclair to open the scoring from the penalty spot. Latching on an ill-judged back-pass, Bell set up Matt Sinclair for the Town’s second goal, and, taking advantage of the defence’s hesitation, the younger Sinclair brother soon added another.
Chinnor pulled back a goal when the Town keeper was caught out by a centre from a free kick, but Henley returned to the attack, and Craig Sinclair made the opening from which Bell scored Henley’s fourth.
