AN amateur footballer from Henley is hoping to score at Wembley after reaching the final of a search to find the best non-professional players.
Tom Wilson, 25, has made it to the last 32 out of thousands of applicants.
He will take part in a match at the national stadium on Monday watched by football League scouts.
Former professionals David Ginola, Ray Parlour, Alex McLeish and Steve Clarke who will coach and manage the teams.
Mr Wilson, a former Henley Town player whose parents Simon and Jocelyn live in Rotherfield Road, said: “I can’t believe it. I’m still pinching myself and I can’t wait. My aim now is to get a goal because I play up front.
